The Japan Meteorological Agency announced an "Eruption Bulletin" at 0200 Sunday of an active stratovolcano known as Sakurajima, located in Kagoshima Prefecture in Kyushu, Japan.
The meteorological agency said the "eruption occurred" around 0109 Sunday. It said the current eruption of Sakurajima is level 3. The agency warned against "large volcanic stones and pyroclastic flows within a range of approximately 2 km from the Minamidake summit crater and Showa crater," said NHK News.

There are currently 90 active volcanoes on the surface of the earth. 44 of them are spewing ash into the upper atmosphere which blocks more sunshine. Expect lots of volcanoes and earthquakes over the next several decades.
