Controversial Video Game Encourages Shooting Mexican Immigrants

April 26, 2006 05:34 PM

Controversial video game encourages shooting Mexican immigrants

EL PASO, TX. - A controversial video game attached to an e-mail making the rounds of in-boxes around the country is highlighting just how some people feel about the immigration issue.

Many local residents have been forwarded an e-mail with the words "Border Patrol Game." However many are saying it is less a game and more an invitation to violence. In the game, players try to shoot and kill Mexican border crossers.

Inside the game there are three targets: a Mexican nationalist, a drug smuggler, and a pregnant woman running with two children which the game labels a "breeder."

Border Patrol spokesman Doug Nosier tells ABC-7, "They only perpetuate hate, not to mention show Border Patrol in a false light....it's horrendous and really unfortunate that these kind of games exist."

ABC-7 showed the game to immigrant advocate Illiana Holguin, whose first reaction was "Oh my God!"

Ms. Holguin went on to say, "That's terrible, that's horrible...it completely ignores the reason why people try to come to the us just the fact that they are fleeing horrible condition in their own county and are just trying to make a better life for themselves, its extremely offensive, extremely offensive."

Additionally, Ms. Holguin says the game is inaccurate. In the game setting, a sign on the border reads "Welcome to the United States" with an arrow pointing to a welfare office. Ms. Holguin says, "I think that's a very common misconception...immigrants are not even eligible for the majority of assistance programs...that's just wrong."

The game is found on a website run by Tom Metzger, a current Klu Klux Klan member and former Klan leader based out of Temecula, California. On the immigration issue Mr. Metzger tells ABC-7, "We must get them out of here by any means necessary."

Mr. Metzger also refers to this game as "target practice" and isn't a bit apologetic. His favorite character is the pregnant woman.

When asked why, Mr. Metzger tells ABC-7, "That's the most dangerous one of them all - we have a standard joke that so many are pregnant that they cross the border pregnant before they are even born, they have big families and soon they will kill North American and Anglo culture."

Mexicans aren't the only target on Mr. Metzger's website as it also features games where players can kill homosexuals and Jews. Mr. Metzger adds that he doesn't know the origin of any of these games, "When he likes one sent to him, he posts it".

Metzger says the games generate six million hits a month to his website.

Ms.Holguin responds that, "[this is] a game that encourages the hunting down and shooting of women and their families and their children is just unbelievable to me that anyone would find that entertaining or funny in the least."

According to a new report by the Anti-Defamation League, there has been on uptake in violence by extremist groups, similar to Mr. Metzger's, against Hispanics.

Metzger has a point.

"Both the loss of the will to define and defend one’s native soil and the loss of the desire to procreate send an alluring signal to the teeming favellas and kazbahs: Come, for no Western nation has the guts to shed blood - alien or its own - in the name of its own survival."

And the illegal immigrant issue falls to sadistic idiots like Metzger who shoulda dribbled down their mama's thighs and remained simply a gleam in their daddy's eyes.

How 'bout Gay illegals? Or Jews, that'd really help a discussion of Israel's influence on America.

Just like the two white cracker nuts in Dallas who beat up some Latino kid.

That's one way to gain adherents to be against illegals. Not.

Metzger's point that things will have to get a hell of a lot worse before they get better is a valid one and one that I personally think we will see.

Once you have guys like Metzger on your side, amnesty and complete legalization and harmonization into America of the illegals is assured.

Metzger is on the side of the illegals, actually. He is encouraging them to be as rowdy as possible and to make as much trouble as they can. He figures that, the bigger the disruptions, the faster things fall apart, and the faster things fall apart, the faster there is a resolution to tension -- regardless of the outcome.

One does not have to like someone in order to realize there is some truth to this. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

Assuming Congress dawdles on what to do about this mess, the longer it takes to arrive at a definite plan, the rowdier the illegals will become.

And...the rowdier the illegals become, the more violent things will get. The more violent things get....well, you draw it out from there.

Listen, I have been shocked over the past 10 years or so as the nation turned a blind eye to the illegals. People couldn't call me racist, but being against bilingual ed, ballots in other languages, and drivers tests in other languages seemed insane along with ignoring residency criteria that seemed to be a recipe for disaster somewhere in the near future.

And guys like Metzger taking advantage of the situation is the inevitable result when the MainParty systematically ignored the issue.

So, you get the above sytheistic confluence -

Well, now we have it. I'll add for the record that when I lived in Cali, I voted against bilingual ed, for Prop 187, and anything else that came down the pipeline including volunteering time to teach ESL -- until people stopped showing up and the program had to close its doors.

Now its coming to a head. Thus, I watch what everyone is saying from all corners - folks like Metzger, La Raza, the Aztlan hooligans, everyone.

Its all coming down to the same thing: Either America rolls over and plays dead or there will be problems in the streets until demands are met *OR* the country decides to be a country again.

Those are the choices that are coming down the pipeline. Nobody likes what they have to pick from, everyone wants to ignore it, hold hands, sing kum-ba-yah and "just get along" -- but that's not going to work and unfortunately, choices are being forced and that's just how it is.

My personal analysis says that it is "time based" -- the world is now an instant gratification place. If things take a while to move, people get itchy. So, my analysis says that the longer America dawdles on this, the nastier it will get.

Thus, Metzger is correct in his analysis. How he goes about his business is a matter for another debate and methinks we would likely agree that he ought to pick a different line of work :-)

You have absolutely no idea just how annoying it is to admit that he is right.

All talk out of Congress is the Amnesty is on.

..while the polls continue to call for voter revolution.

Methinks Congress will dawdle while sniffing the breeze. The House has stated a few times that an amnesty deal is DOA over there.

So, it will be Bush -vs- Everyone.

Let's see who wins.
