A wild scene unfolded in Brixton, a culturally-enriched district in the British capital known for a large Afro-Caribbean population, as armed riot specialists were deployed to support local officers during widespread unrest. Metropolitan Police responding to reports of an injured man at around 9:30 p.m. encountered a mob of combatants. "A 25-year-old man was found with what are believed to be gunshot injuries and stab wounds. He was taken by the LAS to a south London hospital; his condition has been assessed as non-life threatening, but it may be life changing," authorities explained in a statement. "A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody." Funny story. Yesterday a US Marshal shot another criminal and riots ensued here in Minneapolis with a strange predictability. Except it was the feds this time. No federal buildings. Or FBI offices burned. Just the usual stores. Makes you wonder who is behind it all.
