Jon Voight needs to explain how Israel/Jerusalem can be the "holy land" when Jesus Himself called Jerusalem the Whore of Babylon, the city where Christ was crucified:

So when Jennens has brought in Psalm 2 and its understood prophecy of the destruction of the temple, widely understood as signaling God’s rejection of Judaism, what is the response? “Hallelujah! for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth; the kingdom of this world is become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ” (Revelation 19:6, 19:16 and 11:5). Jennens undoubtedly got the idea of juxtaposing these passages directly from Hammond, who wrote: “Now at Revelation 11 is fulfilled that prophecy of Psalm 2. The Jewish nation have behaved themselves most stubbornly against Christ, and cruelly against Christians, and God’s judgments are come upon them.” This is surely how listeners would have understood the combination of these texts in 18th-century Britain.

Handel’s music makes its own contribution to the troubling theological message here. The mood of the “Hallelujah” chorus is over-the-top triumph..."

The Destruction of Jerusalem

Indeed, modern day Israel was founded on terror when the Irgun bombed the King David Hotel in Jerusalem in 1946. The British were using that hotel as their HQ. Rahm and Ezekiel Emmanuel are the scion of Irgun terrorists.

Where are you getting that about Handel and the Messiah? Surely too good to be true. Didn't he write all those OT oratorios to please his jew patrons? I take it all your quotes here are from Chuck Baldwin's sermon -- must listen to it soon. Does he give sources?

Confirmation that any baroque composer legend was an 'anti-semite' would be pure gold, but it's next to impossible to come by. Bach would be the great prize -- I have a strong hunch that he left behind 'hateful' opinions in letters etc. and that they've been cut from the biographical records.
