Ron DeSantis has his first official challenger for his next run at the top office in the state. Fortunately for DeSantis, it does not look like he is going to need to mount much of a fight to keep his seat at the head of the table in Tallahassee. Fried Enters the Fray Fried has distinguished herself, for better or for worse, as the state of Florida’s extreme left-wing leader. As the current Commissioner of Agriculture for the state, Fried has earned a reputation as being an outspoken critic of DeSantis. Some would even say that she has used this pulpit to continually criticize the governor as a way to advance her own political career. The AG commissioner has had success in receiving media attention as a result of her trolling of DeSantis. However, as one of the most respected governors in the country, this trolling is only going to take you so far. DeSantis Reacts Because he is busy running the state’s business, it took DeSantis a few days to respond to Fried’s official declaration of the intent to run for office. However, when he did respond, he took the opportunity to slam Fried. How This Will Play Out It is likely that Charlie Crist will be Fried’s biggest challenger in the Democratic primary. You do not have to be an expert in politics to know that Crist will run Fried into the ground in this primary election. That said, it will be a moot point when DeSantis wins easily in the general election. Poster Comment: We were in the Seminole Truck Stop in south Florida in middle of the day many years ago. While we were there, three squad cars pulled in and they started chasing lot lizards. There were six of them running around. One went in driver's door and out sleeper door.
