Officials have confirmed that former NASCAR driver Candace Muzny died in an accidental drowning.
Muzny was found dead in her home near Ski Island Lake, Oklahoma on Monday after an unidentified party called police to report an unresponsive female, the Oklahoma City Police Department told Oxygen.com. She was 44 years old.
The Oklahoma Office Of The Chief Medical Examiner has since confirmed to Oxygen.com that the cause of death was drowning and the manner of death was accidental. The full report, however, is pending, the office said. Police previously stated that the circumstances surrounded Muznys death appeared suspicious, and while there were no obvious signs of foul play, their homicide unit was investigating.
Muzny, an ex-NASCAR driver who last competed in 2011 and 2012, died around one month after she was arrested for allegedly assaulting an employee at a nail salon. Tiffany Nguyen told News9 that Muzny threatened her for speaking Vietnamese while giving her a pedicure and then attacked her.

She was released from jail after posting $20,000 bail, according to the outlet.
Muzny criticized the salon employees for their actions during an interview with Heavy.com, saying in regards to the worker she was accused of attacking, If she wants to live on the American dollar, then she needs to speak English.
Doo doo happens. But she might have been better off finding someone who spoke English to do her hair.
