World Trade Center Remnants Lost As U.S. Troops Leave Afghanistan

(RepublicanInformer.com)- Remnants from the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York City are being left behind in Afghanistan as troops finally depart the country and bring an end to America’s longest-running war. Reports suggest that after 20 years, debris taken from the World Trade Center that was delivered to the Bagram Air Base in December of 2001 will be left behind.

The debris delivered to the base, which served as a symbolic reminder to American troops of what they were fighting for, included a steam beam from the World Trade Center. The beam was one of the later pieces of debris delivered to the base and was donated by residents from Breezy Point in Queens in 2010. Since then, the beam has been a landmark in the Bagram Air Base and was engraved with “9 11 01” and “WTC.”

Something so symbolic and historic should surely be returning home to the United States along with the soldiers, right?

The last remaining U.S. troops at the Bagram base left last Friday, and President Joe Biden confirmed that every single member of American personnel will be removed from the country by September 11 this year. Biden’s decision to delay the withdrawal of troops is only symbolic, and former President Donald Trump – after spending years winding down military presence in Afghanistan – had planned to have all U.S. troops home by the summer.

Zabijullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Taliban, said that the withdrawal is a “positive step” that will allow Afghanistan to come closer to “peace” and “stability” with foreign forces.

We’ll see.

The decision to leave Afghanistan is a controversial one. America First advocates have long argued that the United States should not be the world’s policeman, and spilling American blood in Afghanistan was not worth it. However, some argue that losing U.S. presence in the region could aid terrorist organizations that will rebuild and recruit in Afghanistan.

One thing we know for sure is that President Biden will ride the wave and take credit if the withdrawal goes well, or pivot to blaming Trump if it goes badly…

Poster Comment:

One thing is abundantly clear. Arabs hiding in caves in Afghanistan had nothing to do with the events of 9-11-2001. That was a bloodless coup and George W. Bush was handed his head on that fateful day. We need to ask more questions about the QRS-11 flight interrupter chip that was installed in all commercial aircraft in the 1990s. That chip can be controlled from a few hundred miles away.
