While almost half of Democrats out West say the same, survey finds.

A whopping two-thirds of Republicans in the South favor seceding from the United States while nearly half of Democrats in the Pacific region and almost 40 percent in the Northeast say the same, according to a new survey.

Support for secession is also considerable among independents in the Midwest and Great Lakes regions, where 43 percent say they would favor breaking away and forming their own country.

Half of independents in the South also favor secession while 43 percent of Republicans in the Rocky Mountain states share the same view.

Two in three Republicans in the South support SECEDING from the US

That real proportion is FAR lower than that.

I've lived in the Seat of Secession for most of my life, and I know lots of Republicans in the South. I estimate that only 1 in 10 would support South Carolina seceding from the US. And I move in a decidedly pro-Southern crowd here.

When Ron Paul ran for US President he got 1% of the Republican vote in 2008, and 4% in 20012. When Bob Conley ran for US Senate in 2008, 99.7% of the Republicans here voted for his opponent Lindsey Graham. Graham hates the Old South and Southerners and our Battle Flag. He loves Washington DC and BIG FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. Yet South Carolina Republicans will continue to vote for him until the day he dies of AIDS.

South Carolina Republicans lately voted for Nimrata Haley for governor.

Every Republican in the South either works for the Post Office (or other fed job), has a close relative in or retired from the US armed forces, or he himself or his mama gets a social security check. Even lots of state jobs -- teaching, law enforcement, county governments, etc. -- get federal funds. These people ain't gonna vote to change that.

I could go on.

Any article that splits up the US into regions with one of them named "Heartland" is going to be globalist chicken-scratchings.

Globalistas hate this country, like they hate all countries, and they would just love to slice it up.

(When I see part of the seal in the paper's mast head BTW, I know that there's a crown up there somewhere, and I know what that means.)

An aptly dismal summation. If SC's RepubliCon politicians are any better than NY's or MA's, you couldn't prove it by me. Only if other states e.g. TX lead the way would SC ever go for secesh, and prolly pull out once the Chosen read 'em the riot act in Columbia.
