I saw a newer VW sitting at a stoplight today churning out blue smoke. Inevitable with the Trabant, but you would think even large colored girls would understand the importance of regularly scheduled maintenance in this day and age, where COVID shots are free, engine replacement is quite expensive, and polluters are attacked with hammers.

Smashing Pumpkins

When we were at Woodstock 94 Jordan was running the crew.

He told me to find a place and get some rest so I was ready for Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The weather had been drizzly and wet. There was a place where the crew had set a chair and strung a tarp in the riggings to catch runoff and channel it away.

I sat down and put my feet up. Along came the guy that was runninng the local crew. He had come to Chicago to give us a class so we could get New York state Security Guard license.

He said, ""It looks like you found yourself a good place to relax."

I told him what Jordan told me and he went away.

We had different color Peace Patrol shirts. Their were olive drab and ours were a sort of a goldenrod color.

We also had "All Access" wristbands and those wristbands were our meal tickets.

When we went in the line for breakfast they would change the guard taking meal tickets.

We would go thru and eat and then go thru again since those guys had never seen us before. There were three food lines. We would just go in a different line.

One morning this guy was handing out apples. I said to him, "Give me another apple.

He said, "No."

I said, "Give me another apple or I will take you out behind this tent and kick your ass."

He said, "There ya go."

I told that story on Facebook and a Marine gave me "thumbs up". LOL

We had small OD bag that our cots came in. We used them just like didi bags and would carry pieces of fruit with us. We had fanny packs also.

First day I was at TV tower. This guy was body surfing. The crowd was thinning. He was losing altitude and going head first toward the corner of the barricade.

I took two giant steps and gave him a straight arm in the head. He went down.

I leaned over the barricade and said, "Hey mean, are you ok?"

He said, "Yeah man. Cool.", while giving me thumbs up.

There is no doubt in my mind that I saved his life. If he would have hit the corner of barricade he would have split his head open. ;)

Yeah, that guy's channel is interesting, to say the least.
