Iraqis entered the Valley illegally Monday, May 01, 2006 Posted: 06:57 PM

Three Iraqis slipped into the US over the weekend

HARLINGEN – NEWSCHANNEL 5 is tracking information on three Iraqis who slipped into the Valley over the weekend.

We’re told the men are each in their early 20s. They were caught near the Los Indios International Bridge near Harlingen on Saturday. FBI agents say the men claim to be Christians who are afraid they will face persecution if they are returned to Iraq.

Before they were caught at the border, the men were arrested in Mexico carrying Greek passports. They were held almost a month for entering Mexico illegally. But we’re told the Mexican government released them and told them to “go north”.

We’re told they are still in the Valley and are being questioned about why and how they got here.

Since October, 11 Iraqis have been caught entering the U.S. illegally.

Ever since Jorge Bush went on his Iraq adventure, the Christians in Iraq have been persecuted by the majority muslem population. As a matter of fact one of Saddam's right hand men was a Christian. Democracy at work, Jorge Bush. If those people are really Christians I feel for them, but the truth is that they are probably terrorists using religious persecution as a cover. It is a well known fact that the border patrol catches less than 5% of the illegals attempting to enter our country. They also know of our stupid catch and release program for OTM's(other than mexicans) Our future is going to be one heck of a ride, fasten your seatbelts.

Yes, the destruction of Christian life in Iraq is a huge tragedy. Iraqi Christians are fine people, mainstays of the professional class, important business people, and their congregations are some of the oldest in Christendom. Some of them keep the Aramaic language alive.

Great cover if you're coming across a border, but a hard thing to fake under knowledgeable interrogation.

This just makes me wonder though, what the hell else is coming across that frontier on cat's paws??
