An apparent contradiction in the article. Watched Dr. Chris Martinsen yesterday and his info is that Delta is far more contagious generating 1000x more viral load than the previous variants in the same amount of time. But deaths from it seem to be less likely. Can't help but conclude that Delta will burn itself out for being too contagious, and effectively serves as a vaccine in of itself. Martinsen is calling for Delta to basically run its course in the USA in about 2 months.
IIRC that huge Covid spike in India and just as rapid collapse was the Delta variation.
