There was a Burger Chef here in Fort Wayne on East State Blvd, between Hobson and Beacon. When I was old enough to cross the US30 bypass (now Coliseum Blvd./930), I'd ride my bike there and buy lunch with some change now and again. That was a long time ago...
There was a Burger Chef in the town near where I grew up. Girlfriend (later wife) and I would eat there occasionally. Not bad, as I recall. But the food quality plummeted when it transgendered into a Hardee's in '81 or '82.
