I was a beekeeper when I lived in Illinois.

When I moved to Missouri I could not bring the hives. But there was another beekeeper nearby who took over the hives.

I quit using pesticides and herbicides years ago. Better to have weeds in my yard than my grandchildren have neurological problems.

Only exception is termite poison under the house, applied narrowly and strategically.

When I was a kid our yard was full of dandelions, and the honeybees were so thick on them that you had to be careful where you stepped if barefoot. Now I see four or five honeybees a year. Thanks, Monsanto.
