I see this, this kid, this kid Corporal, and he's blowing away these beautiful LRRP (long range recon patrol, Lerp) dogs. I said, what the f, man, what are you doin'? Dig it. The deal is he's blowin' away these dogs because he's trained 'em so righteously that they're too damned dangerous to bring back to the United States... And I kept thinkin' that I should blow him away for the same reason... And someone should blow me away, and he should be blown away...

So I went over a couple doors down and one over to meet my neighbor today after a quarterly grocery store run. Hi, how ya doin'? I'm Jim over in the brown joint. Good to meet you, I'm Rudy.

I really like your dinosaur. Is it an original Sinclair gas station one? Yeah, I picked it up in Taz____, KY. We call it Taz. (It has an Aussie bush hat strapped to its head. It's about 7' high and twice as long)

I'm not much of a jealous type, but I think that dinosaur is cool as hell. I could buy a thousand if I was so inclined, I'm just jealous that he did it before me. I guess it's going home somewhere, I need to get Jayanna over to meet him before he goes. She'll like that.

Seeing as how Rudy's been over there watching for three decades, I suppose I owe him some explanations. That's why I waited to approach him when he had two other men (HVAC guys) with him. I'm sure he's relieved that I'm not the monster that he may have imagined.

Watching works two ways. I'd trust him more than just about anybody else locally. He's no Bidet voter. I made a new friend, and so did he.

Ya know, when the MDs told my wife that I wasn't going to survive the texting granny accident in 2013, he set both of us free. Since there was no kids involved, I was able to write up the papers myself. Teri got the better end of the deal by half, but I don't care. She held up her end taking care of my younger sister, and never waivered.

We're still friends and wish each other happy birthdays via text, but we'd be there for each other if need be. Come to think of it, I'm not mad or upset about anybody outside the District of Criminals.

The brain damage after the accident may not have been such a bad thing. I don't really remember anything bad or have bad emotions after that. I guess I'm lucky that way.

Some times, you gotta scrape the schitt off yer boots.

I've had to kill so many critters, I can't count. Groundhogs, possums, racoons, cats, etc, that my dogs wounded. A quick whack to the head and a toss over the wire and their suffering was over.

I've had to put a lot of my dogs down as well. I was always holding them when they got the big pink or blue shots.

Had to do the same thing with my mother in hospice, but they had to drag the morphine out over a couple months until what little she had was gone (I knew that was coming, there wasn't much to get). I would've have given her the kill shot myself, given the opportunity, but the MFers had to let her suffer.

(Edit) FWIW, I loved my mother dearly. Am I bitter? You betcha. My mother was a cold hearted bitch. I did my job.
