because it 'discriminates against black and Hispanic students' - but parents AND teachers say it will halt smart kids' learning and leave others 'behind'

New York City is ending its gifted and talented schools program for exceptional students and will put all children in the same classes, claiming that the current system discriminates against black and Hispanic kids.

What about its bakkabaw and fooppaw programs? No doubt they're invulnerable -- racemongering is the unchanging topmost priority.

Yeah, and only white European Spaniards are benefiting from the millions spent each year on Spanish->English translators.

How many of them could there be? I've always lamented that if there must be millions of foreigners, why can't they be French or Spanish (the 2 language choices in scool when I was growing up).

We had French, Spanish, and German in junior high. The German class had pin-on buttons made that said Küss mich! Ich spreche Deutsch!*

The principal made them stop wearing them; he said the were "unAmerican". But the county was heavily German. The neatest people you ever met. Their farms could be on magazine covers.

*If Mindy Libke had worn one, I probably would have gotten myself thrown out of science class.

I'm sure there's somebody her who's brain isn't so mashed up that remembers *Leni Reifensthal's* beautiful movie about Germany after Hitler was elected and before WWII. I can't remember the name of it to save my ass right now.

This'll fit...

I'm one of those guys (figuratively), guess which one.

Triumph of the Will. It's the strangest, most wondrous thing -- she did more than anything to make Hitler look good on the world stage but I'm never aware she's been much persecuted or witch hunted. Years ago at age 100 she was enjoying a great gadabout life -- pic of her posing with Siegfried and Roy as if big cat shows were old hat to her.

As a young movie maniac I read an interview with her about her cinematic techniques -- just another chapter in a book of 'em. Her Nazi work is still considered awesome/ classic/ pioneering. Believe she died a staunch NS at heart, and more power to her.
