State Attorney General Ran Over Man In Hit And Run Case

(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- The widow of a man who was sadly hit by a car driven by the Attorney General for South Dakota has reportedly reached an out-of-court settlement after threatening to sue AG Jason Ravnsborg.

Widow Jenny Boever publicly confirmed that an agreement had been made on Wednesday, but the terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

In case you forgot about this story, it happened only a year ago on September 12, 2020. Joseph Boever, who was 55 years old, was walking along the highway near the city of Highmore when he was hit by the attorney general. Ravnsborg told 911 dispatchers that he believed he had struck a deer with his car, but only realized that he had hit a man after he returned to the scene in the morning.

Ravnsborg pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges on August 26. He was charged with making an illegal lane change while using a phone while driving and was ordered to pay fines of $500 for each charge, along with $3,741 in court costs.

A charge of careless driving was dropped and, for some reason, the man hasn’t been charged with manslaughter.

If he was using a phone while driving and hit a man with his car…how does one simply get away with that?

Is it because he was the attorney general?

Speaking to the press, attorney Matthew Tysdal, who represented Jenny Boever, confirmed that an agreement had been made but that neither party has any further comment to make and that Boever requests that her privacy is respected.

In August, the court heard from Jenny Boever who was planning a civil suit against Ravnsborg at the time. She said that the attorney general’s actions were “incomprehensible, inexcusable and cannot be forgiven” and suggested that any “normal” person – ie, not the attorney general – would already be in jail for committing such a crime.

Things must operate differently in South Dakota.

But when I drove for one trucking company from Missouri, this one guy was going thru a scale in South Dakota. A dog keyed on the truck and they stopped him.

They climbed all over those boxes of flowers in the trailer. They ran his CDL and found he had a warrant in Texas and had him extradited. It must have been a felony since they would not do that over a misdemeanor.

I sure am glad I wasn't with him when that happened.

I could do without all the tats, but I worked for some really young tatted up chicky-poo a month or so ago and left behind a really expensive AC/DC AmpClamp. She managed to get it back to me through a friend.

(Edit) Yeah, I was drinkin' on a Sunday, and swore that I put it back in my truck. It was an emergency that I didn't want to deal with that particular day, but you gotta roll when you gotta roll. The situation with her brand-new water heater being fucked up by the plumbers was so tragic that I didn't have the heart to charge her at the event.

When the event ended, the gal ask me how much the bill was. I told her about $1,500 should cover it. Then I told her I was kidding and would write a Sunday receipt for her if she wanted to pursue legal action against the big-name plumbers for that amount.

I was working two-doors down from her joint today and wanted to leave her a thank you on the back of my business card, but was involved in such a clusterfuck that I forgot.

I would've really freaked out if I had needed that AmpClamp before I got it back. My actual cost in the event was probably about 40 Bidet Bux and time.
