VP Harris Ditches High-Level Border Meeting To Talk About Moon Craters On Youtube Monday, October 11, 2021
Vice President Kamala Harris was recently criticized for introducing a new YouTube series that is targeted at selling kids on the glories of science and space travel – which seems juvenile to the mainstream media’s emphasis on climate change and the things we are supposed to be fixing here. The segment is titled “Get Curious with Vice President Harris” and debuted during World Space Week.
Harris has also been named chair to the cabinet-level National Space Council but has struggled to explain the benefits of space travel or why she’s so focused on it. She hasn’t even met with the National Space Council yet. It’s just another charade and distraction from anything of significant importance that the Biden Administration should be focused on.
“I just love the idea of exploring the unknown. There are other things that we just haven’t figured out or discovered yet. To think about so much that’s out there that we still have to learn, like, I love that,” VP Harris rambled at the US Naval Observatory to a group of five preteens.
VP Harris went on to show off the Naval Observatory’s high-tech telescope, adding enthusiastically that they can see craters on the moon, even though they are craters that can be seen with the naked eye.
The video was mocked over VP Harris’s exaggerated facial expressions and baby-like voice. Rep. Lauren Boebert commented on the video that VP Harris should not be allowed to speak to adults anymore.” Twitter user Joanne Mason adds that VP Harris comes across as the “fun and engaging” teacher in a movie who ends up “collecting the heads of the children she takes to Space Camp.”
The Biden Administration’s approval ratings continue on a downward spiral as Harris remains fixated with “craters on the moon.” She even shared her own piece of advice about living with the preteens on camera.
“You know, one of the most important pieces of advice I can give you guys, and I want you to really remember this: Never tell anyone who you are, you tell them that you Who are they. Never let anyone suggest to you that you are what they think you should be, tell them who you are and who you know, and what you want to be. Got it?” Harris said.
Harris emphasized that they needed to “always dream with ambition” and to “dream big.” It’s hard to follow the vice president’s advice of dreaming big and with ambition when she missed out on a high-level security talk in Mexico City about the ongoing border crisis. The meeting included Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and U.S Attorney General Merrick Garland.
Besides ignoring the border crisis, the administration also struggles with Democrats fighting over the infrastructure bill, a doomed jobs report, and the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal. Biden’s approval rating currently stands at 38%.
Former acting department of Homeland security Secretary Chad Wolf even slammed VP Harris for being in charge of addressing the root cause of the border crisis while spending her time elsewhere. He called it “quite unbelievable” that the border czar is off somewhere else when she should be meeting with the president of Mexico and engaging in discussions about migration. He said the administration has continued to see the same failed border policies due to delivering the same failed results and that VP Harris has been completely absent the whole time.
“She’s absent from any follow up to her previous visit to Guatemala, and then to Mexico, but also from the southern border. She’s been to El Paso, which has not seen the vast majority of the illegal crossings. You know, we need leadership and we need leadership from the White House, which is lacking, and from the department, which is lacking,” Wolf said.
Wolf went on to say that there are many specific things the administration can do to address the border surge, including the Remain in Mexico program and asylum cooperative agreements. It’s hard to do when the Biden Administration keeps canceling border wall projects left and right, which is carrying out an agenda that does not enforce the rule of law. This is all by design and the Biden Administration has no intention of fixing it anytime soon.
