I recall my mom picking me up at the Airport in order to take me home when I returned from Vietnam. We almost made it too ! She was driving on 10th street, a street I spent most of my life hanging out on with my friends. We were about 3 blocks from the house when I couldn't ride in that car anymore and I accused my mom of trying to freak me out ... by driving 30 MPH !
I got out and walked the last several blocks !
