That's what PTSD looks like. I'd like to hug Wendy Rittenhouse too, and let her know that what her young son did was the right thing to do.
I never had to go through the witch burning, the hardest thing for me was to have to try to explain my actions to my my mother, wife and in-laws. The in-laws were leftist kooks that tried to make it out like I was endangering their daughter. Assholes.
Yes, my wife left me five years after the fact when a texting granny killed me and the doctors told her that I wouldn't live or ever be able to function again.
My mother died of old age a little less than a year after the accident. My caregiver and I had to load her into the back of the car that I bought my caregiver to take me to all my appointments in.
I was probably in my 50s when I had to drop the hammer on a man. I couldn't imagine doing that as a teenager, but a lot of men had to do that in WWII, Korea, Vietnam and beyond.
I'd hire Kyle in a heartbeat, but I can't afford a soon to be billionaire on my budget.
When you look into some one's eyes and pull the trigger, it will affect you, unless you are a cold heart bastard, like members of the Gestapo. In war, you are yards apart and you do not see what you shoot at.

Been there, done that 2008. A guy hit me in the head in my shop, I went down, breaking the handle off of a portable cement mixer with my head. He made the mistake of bending over to finish the job, I managed to get off a round (low recoil, frangible .38) and ended the event.
I spent a night in jail after getting out of the hospital. Never talked, never got tried. I was probably in my 50s after years of experience.
Kyle was 17. I'm guessing Kyle didn't spend a lot of time on the range at Quantico. He must've learned it from video games.
I spent a lot of time reading people's eyes. Stay away from people with black eyes (niggers, wets, etc.)
