I want to be a lawyer, he said, appearing on Blaze TVs You Are Here. Yeah, I wanna go to law school. Did you just decide that during the trial, or is that something youve always wanted to do? asked Blaze Medias Sara Gonzales. Uh, toward the end of the trial, I was like, I wanna go against corrupt piece of s*** prosecutors like Thomas Binger and put them in their place and make sure they never practice law again. I love that, Gonzales responded. Wow, good for you. Previously, Rittenhouse, who is only 18 years old, said he wanted to pursue nursing. During the same appearance, Rittenhouse criticized the prosecutor for pointing a firearm in the courtroom with his finger on the trigger, saying he found it alarming though he tried not to show his emotion during the trial. The teen revealed that at least some of the jury members, too, looked alarmed at that moment. Speaking to conservative podcast host Charlie Kirk last week, Rittenhouse detailed what was on his mind during the trial as he sat expressionless like a potted plant, particularly when it came to the prosecution making false claims about him. What Im thinking when Im just the blank-faced, potted plant in court, Im just saying in my head, Is this guy serious?, referring to Lunchbox and Binger, also known as Little Finger, said Rittenhouse. The name Lunchbox is a reference to Assistant District Attorney James Kraus, who was dubbed the nickname by some online commentators, perhaps due to his weight. Little Finger and Little Binger were common nicknames for Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger. The teen also detailed the two points when he knew the state did not have a case against him: when prosecution called his friend Dominick Black to testify, and when the state falsely claimed during opening statements that Rittenhouse chased down one of his attackers. At what point in the trial were you like, okay this is going in a direction that is somewhat favorable, Kirk asked Rittenhouse. There were two, actually, from when I knew the state didnt have a case, the teenager explained. Its when they had their opening statements and when they put Dominick Black (Rittenhouses friend) on the stand, which really helped me. Thats when I knew that they didnt have a case. So the opening statements, you already knew? Kirk said. Yeah, Rittenhouse said, explaining the prosecution claiming that the teenager chased down Joseph Rosenbaum, which is not true. Notably, prosecution reframed their arguments after their opening claim that Rittenhouse chased Rosenbaum fell apart. Instead, the team shifted to accusing Rittenhouse of provocation, seemingly for merely being present and having a rifle. facebook twitter google+ Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread
