Although I played Gibsons for most of my pro career, I started out with a pair of Fender Jazzmasters (50's and 60's vintage) that would be worth a fortune today.

Now I play a pair of Fender Strats and I was more or less satisfied until I saw this!

THE HELLO KITTY STRATOCASTER! NO STRAT collection is complete without one or two. They come in black and pink! I want a pink one!

I bet Elton John already has three.

In 1947, the UN created a perpetual war and named it Israel.

Yup.

But, I have a real eye for future collectors' guitars, don'tcha know?

And, I can imagine what my scruffy band and hunting buddies would say if I show up to a country gig with this axe!

HAH!

I'm sure that would be a big hit--perhaps even several.

Actually, the folks in DE are pretty well accustomed to my sense of humor.

For instance, during the gigs I announce that I'm gonna do an original song. Okay so far.

I start with a standard country guitar turn around intro, and then sing, "I never thought I could fall in love, with a nee-grow...but she can choke a chicken just like my girl back home..." Then the band jumps up and yells (on cue) "NO NO NO, you can do that song!"

So, I promise to be serious and kick off another, pretty intro to a slow country ballad, and sing,

"I look out, through my windshield, and it's raining...

Carolinas are calling, but it's breakin' my heart...

Even though you're only 12 years old, I WANNA MARRY YOU...."

The band interrupts again.

Always good for a cheap laff.

well... it looks like a cute little fuzzy warmy teenage girl wanna be a guitar player sort of guitar.

I recalled your hunting pic on another thread, but then started having second thoughts based on my opinion of what the newest little instrument is like.

What an ingenious idea!

I'd love to hear a Burrell.

If I ever spring for a custom axe it may well be this Bolin.

Which Strat do you have and what amp?

I completely departed from my traditional roots and ordered a MIM Fat Strat with a Floyd Rose, and I love it!

Although I could have sprung for an American Strat, the only way I could get it (w/o ordering through the custom shop-YIKES) with a Floyd Rose was to order the Mexican-assembled model. It's a delightful instrument and I'd buy another. (I actually love my Kramer with a Floyd Rose so, that was the deciding factor.)

I also use a LINE 6 digital amp, and it's a scream! My Peavey rig with the 4-10" speakers in an anvil case sounds great but, it's just too heavy to move, and this light, 120 watt 2-10" LINE 6 amp has so many different sound possibilities that I haven't scratched the surface of the different sounds yet.

Yes.

Although I don't drink anymore, I wouldn't mind playing in some bar where the wimmen are a little on the trashy side!

Only as a listener most everyday - they have informative guests, and good products that BigChem and Pharma would rather we didn't know about.

Very Good.
