The Secret Team, L. Fletcher Prouty’s exposé of the CIA’s control over the government was first published in the 1970s. However, virtually all copies of the book disappeared upon distribution, having been purchased en masse by shady “private buyers.” Certainly, Prouty’s allegations such as how the U2 Crisis of 1960 was fixed to sabotage the Eisenhower – Khrushchev talk cannot have pleased the CIA. Listen to this four part interview with Col. Prouty from back in 1989. Everything he is discussing still applies to today’s world. The CIA hasn’t changed the playbook.

Col. Prouty was an intelligence agent in the south Pacific during WW II. At the end of the war he was at a Navy base on Guam. When the invasion of Japan did not go off because Japan got nuked, the weapons in storage on Guam, stacked 4 and 5 pallets high, were load on two ships.

When they set sail, Prouty asked the Harbor Master where they were heading. The Harbor Master replied, "One is going to Pyongyang, the other to Haiphong."

We were sending them the guns to start the next two wars. The French were defeated at Dien Bien Phu by American weapons.

When the U.S. turned their backs on Ho Chi Minh, he went to the Soviets.

U.S.troops found M-1 Carbines in the VC tunnels. Those were part of the weapons we sent to the North Vietnamese. ;)

Col. Prouty flew Chiang Kai Shek to Tehran for the meeting of the Big Four allies in the war against the Axis.

However, stories about that conference exclude the presence of Chiang. ;)
