I think the good old days when you could buy some ground round for $1.29/lb was just great. Hard to find a burger now for less than a few bucks. But then I haven't been in a McDonald's in many years. ;)

27 cents a pound chicken wings in 1982 were good for me and the StraitBride back in 1982.
