Drinking from the horse bucket will give you good immunity. I can recall when myself and my twin sister were in Kindergarten. We would get off the bus and Mom would be there to meet us. One time we got off the school bus and she was not there. My sister didn't know which way to go. But I did and I led her home. ;)
I got lost at Kings Island one time when I was about six. That seemed like hours, but somewhere in the back of my mind I was thinking how cool it would be if I had to stay there. :) I was more worried about being punished for wandering off than I was about being alone, cold, or hungry. I had never been seriously cold or hungry before then.

When working on State Highways in winter we would wear Jersey gloves and put extra large White mules over them. The two layers acted like insulation so we could work outside shoveling cold patch in winter so we did not get frost bite on the fingers. In summer time it was a different story entirely. We would get a load of hot asphalt and go pot hole patching. We would pick up hub caps that got knocked of the rims of cars that hit the holes. We would turn them in at a place in Des Plaines and they would clean them up and resell them. We got a couple of bucks for them. A nice spoke hub cap would get us $5. Once I beat the foreman to a hub cap. He said, "You're taking milk from my baby's mouth." I replied, "It's more like liquor from yours." ROTFLOL
