On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron. ~ H. L. Mencken
If it were me, and I was the leader of Taiwan, I would destroy it all NOW.
Just as a little F-You to China and the world for allowing this Chinese nonsense to continue. Then I would take those factories and move them to the US where we would be making our own damned technology that is not compromised with Chinese software.

The Chinkernese have stolen everything they own as far as technology goes.
If moving those plants to the U.S. can be done without upheaval among the environmentalists then it should be done now.
But could we find a workforce capable enough to do the work at minimal wages like the Taiwanese are now doing? ;)

Last I checked American foreign policy says there's one China and Beijing is its' capital. Regardless what you might be led to believe, many Taiwanese realize that re-unification with the mainland is inevitable. As time goes on and China continues to develop while the U.S. continues to decline, there will be more of them.....
"The government ruling us draws its authority not from the principles of the Declaration of Independence, or even from the delegate powers listed in the U.S. Constitution, but rather from the war to re-conquer the independent South. That conflict, usually referred to by the artfully misleading title Civil War, established the fact that the government in Washington is willing to kill Americans in whatever quantity it deems necessary in order to enforce its edicts, and then sanctify the slaughter in the name of some suitably progressive social objective.
Taiwan needs to build nukes. They had a secret program building them way back in the 80's but word got out and the US told them to knock it off, and they supposedly did. But they got the uranium ore and the tech. They just need to build them. If they can make a few, it would keep the CCP at bay.
Taiwan has got to be envious of NK, of all places. Build nukes to deter any thoughts of imperial aggression.
We entered a Grand Solar Minimum in 2020. No Chinese government in the last 2,000 years ever survived a Grand Solar Minimum.
