That's the K-mart special. 50% off of cyrpto is a great deal!

I expect that crypto will eventually make its way to being considered a more secure asset. I've been monitoring cyrpto prices through this decline, and bitcoin is, among all cryptos, the "safe harbor" crypto. All others haev declined more that bitcoin has, and that's been a repeating pattern.

Crypto is only considered risky because it is volatile in dollar terms. That's really the only reason. Bitcoin has been around for some 12 years so it has to be getting to the point where there is confidence in its longevity, albeit with volatility.

I had heard that El Salvador has made Bitcoin its national currency. I wonder how they are handling the 50% drop in value? ;)

Well, they made it legal tender. El Salvador uses US dollars as their currency as well.

My first-ever buy was at the all time high of $68k last November, so I'm averaging down today.

ETF: Exchange Traded Fund.

I generally don't like when big finance gets its grubby hands all over good products like crypto as the tend to me monetary magicians able to corrupt it. They did it and still do it with gold and silver, and if they are given the chance, they'll do it with crypto as well.

Honestly, neither my brain nor my gut nor my computer is up for mining. I'll pay the fee for someone else doing the heavy lifting for me.

You don't need to do any mining to have crypto. You can buy some with a credit/debit card and just sit on it.
