I have mentioned various parts of this herbal regime before. I started with the 6 herbs recommended by German doctors for heart health.

It enabled me to pass an echocardiogram for the first time. The second test almost 2 years later improved my left ventricle score to 60% which as I understand it is spectacular. for someone who can remember President Truman.

They are garlic, cayenne, Milk Thistle, Hawthorn Berry, Bilberry and Ginkgo Biloba.

To improve the epithelium which wraps around the blood vessels I take liposomal Glutathione and lots of vitamin C and a variety of bioflavonoids. I also take Nattokinase to dissolve blood clots. My doctor wants me to take a leg vein mapping test which is an echocardiogram for my legs to see if I have clots in my legs.

To improve my gut barrier which is also one cell layer thick but wraps around my colon and intestines I take vitamin B Complex, a high fiber diet and probiotics. I also take prebiotics as well. Kefir, Apple Cider vinegar and fermented vegetables are good dietary sources for probiotics. Of course you can get probiotics in capsules. This was recommended to me by Dr Rhonda Patrick.

Great for you.

I'd be happy to find a remedy for tinnitus. Ginkgo Biloba is supposed to be one remedy (aids in circulation) but never noted any improvement. Maybe needs more time, but I also understand diagnosing tinnitus is a lot like diagnosing an engine that won't start in that there are many dozens of possible causes.

I forgot to mention N-Acetyl Cysteine. I take NAC twice daily to help with my liposomal Glutathione.

Try this: https://draxe.com/health/tinnitus-treatment/ Whenever I investigate an alternative treatment, I start at this website.

5. Avoid Overly Using Prescriptions, Drugs or Alcohol

Research shows that some medications and drugs, even over-the-counter painkillers, can make tinnitus worse. Using recreational drugs (especially when pregnant, which can damage a fetus’s nerves), smoking and drinking too much alcohol are also tied to tinnitus.

Talk to your doctor about changing your medication, lowering your dose or finding another way to manage any conditions you might have. Medications that can contribute to ear damage and cause tinnitus include:

Antibiotics: polymyxin B, erythromycin, vancomycin and neomycin

Cancer medications: mechlorethamine and vincristine

Diuretics: bumetanide, ethacrynic acid or furosemide

Quinine medications

Some antidepressants

Aspirin when taken in high doses (usually 12 or more a day)

6. Reduce Inflammation and Chronic Stress

Stress and high levels of inflammation both seem to raise the risk for ear problems, including ear infections, hearing loss and vertigo. On top on that, stress can make tinnitus symptoms worse by changing how your brain reacts to noises it hears.

Research regarding using cognitive behavioral therapy for tinnitus shows that tolerance to tinnitus can be facilitated by “reducing levels of autonomic nervous system arousal, changing the emotional meaning of the tinnitus, and reducing other stresses.” (6) It’s been found that there’s some overlap in anxiety and tinnitus due to an association between subcortical brain networks involved in hearing sounds, attention, distress and memory functions.

A poor diet, sedentary lifestyle, lack of sleep and chronic stress are all capable of reducing immunity and making you susceptible to nerve damage, allergies and ear problems. If you frequently experience seasonal or food allergies that affect your ears, ear infections, swelling and other problems related to damage of the vestibular system, consider changing your diet, exercise routine and ways of dealing with stress, which in turn will aid your tinnitus treatment. Try natural stress relievers like exercising, yoga, meditation, taking warm baths, using essential oils and spending more time outdoors, and eat an anti-inflammatory diet.

(Look up anti-inflammatory diet separately.

Sorry you have to deal with that, Ping. Any idea what gave you the condition? It is a tough nut to crack. I keep seeing remedies hawked but a friend who's tried everything says they're hopeless. But I believe a good one has to exist -- somewhere.

Like I said, if it's something that can have dozens of causes, then everyone would need a different remedy.

Someone I know here living at this high altitude (8200 feet) says his tinnitus goes away if he goes to sea level for a week.

Fascinating. Does he have any idea why?

I guess the answer is no, you don't know what caused your case. A friend with the condition says his started with lots of shooting practice without ear protection, exacerbated by things like an oil changing incident when the stuff shot into his ear.

Not that I know of. Lower altitude is a denser atmosphere so maybe more O2 saturation. Specifically, he would go to the jungle, so he could be inhaling some weird pollen. But based on what I understand, I'd say it's something to do with air pressure.

This sounds pretty major. Has he contacted tinnitus specialists or support groups, put himself up for examination by experts, tried air- purifying devices -- or maybe considered moving to the flatlands?

I don't know him too well, and he's more of a former associate of mine. In his case maybe it's mild enough and, for him, considered a temporary condition.

That's some good info on tinnitus remedies, Horse. Thanks.

Mine came mostly from unprotected gunfire in my ignorant youth. It's been the hardest challenge I've ever faced in life, and I've been cut up and beat up pretty bad.

Can't stand noise of any kind now, so I have to avoid noisy people and noisy places.

I used to try to change the world. Now I just want to get away from it.

Have you been to the shore at all, Strate -- does it by chance improve things? Idly checked my town's altitude and it was way higher than I expected -- 755'.

Been to the beach and to the mountains. Elevation doesn't affect it. Peak or polder makes no difference.
