That sounds pretty wild. The Spoiled Brats of Israel were 'oppressed' and wandered in the desert for almost a millennium because they were so stiff-necked. The Bible is not a good advertisement for these people whoever they really were. You've got it backwards about the uncivil war -- Yankees used Southern churches for target practice. Cultures in conflict is a profound, definitive book on it. Do you have any proof about jews on the Mayflower? That would be JUST like them, and still today New England churches are de facto synagogues!
