The prospect of a "high intensity" armed conflict involving major military powers has been a subject of reflection and concern in expert circles and the media for some years now, and as Statista's Martin Armstrong notes, this issue has become even more topical with the recent rise in geopolitical tensions in Eastern Europe.
According to a survey conducted by Ipsos between September and October 2021, this threat is also of concern to the public, at least they seem aware if it, in many countries.
Detailed Findings
1. A majority of Americans think their country is divided by culture wars, which is higher than the global average.
People in South Africa (58%), the U.S. (57%) and India (57%) are most likely to feel that their country is divided by culture wars,
Those in Germany (19%), Russia (18%) and Japan (9%) are least likely to feel their country is divided.
Poster Comment:
I went to Ipsos and they do not survey Israeli public opinion on either wars or internal societal conflict.
