COMMENT I ADDED: How about a hip Archie Bunker compilation, a fun or right-on or exemplary Archie Bunker compilation? I disagree with Lear's, O'Connor's Maude's, Mike's, Henry Fonda's and all other wokesters' assessment of him. His defining characteristic was not bigotry, it was daring to say what most people don't dare admit to thinking -- and trashing the 1970s peecee orthodoxy.
Yep -- most people have no use for racial, political, or other brand of bullshit but they've got no guts and are waiting for somebody else to say something first. Archie was often shown up as smarter and more real than the 'liberal' loons. Equally thanks to him, Edith and two smashing guest stars, Amelia's Divorce is one of the high points in all of TV history (S5 E20).
Lear had a good concept made great by O'Connor in spite of himself. Being an extreme leftist edomite Lear compulsively trashed Archie, really whaling on him near the end. People just mess with perfection!

Been wanting to do this in some form for ages. Call me Mr. Overkill but I just felt the time had come. I guess somebody's gonna say "Come on, he wasn't perfect!" Should I, dare I, casually reply "I didn't say he was"?
