No surprises here!

Obviously, Putin never would have made the big move if he didn’t have these guarantees.

China knows what’s up, they know they’re next on the list if Russia falls, and they know they need Russia.

RT: China will maintain normal trade relations with Russia despite international sanctions, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said on Tuesday during a regular press conference.

“China and Russia will continue to carry out normal trade cooperation following the spirit of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit,” he said.

According to the spokesman, China’s position was to oppose any “illegally imposed” unilateral sanctions, believing that “sanctions are not an effective solution to solve problems.”

The Tuesday statement repeats the ones made during a press conference on Monday. Answering a question from a Reuters journalist about China buying energy and other commodities from Russia after the recent sanctions, Wang Wenbin said the two countries were to “continue to conduct normal trade cooperation,” according to the official transcript.

During that press conference, the spokesman also stated that China’s stance on the conflict in Ukraine had not changed. Replying to a question about humanitarian aid, he said China was “ready to play a constructive role in easing the situation in Ukraine.”

Speaking on Monday at an emergency UN session, China’s permanent representative Zhang Jun said that it’s possible to resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine through direct dialogue and negotiations.

This is DEFINITELY going to keep Russia’s economy from completely collapsing. There is no way to starve them out while China is trading.

State Department spokesperson and fat pedophile Vaush said that the plan was to starve them out.

But you can’t starve them out if they’ve still got open trade with the world’s biggest economy.

It is definitely looking like we’re headed to a world war with both Russia and China.

But I don’t really understand how this is even supposed to work.

I’ve been watching a lot of CNN and Fox News, which are basically interchangeable at this point, and they’re all calling for the same sanctions put on Russia to be put on China, because as long as China is a lifeline for Russia, the sanctions don’t have the ability to completely destroy Russia (which is the stated goal of Fox/CNN).

The argument is that if we continue trade with China, and China is trading with Russia, we are effectively still trading with Russia. It’s like the sanctions are being bypassed. That is a retarded argument, and even with Chinese trade, Russia is going to have a helluva time holding things together with these current banking sanctions and the presumably imminent energy sanctions.

However, it just doesn’t make sense to me how it would be possible to put these sanctions on China. That would amount to the West starving itself out.

Sanctions against Russia are all for naught. They will be annoying to Russia but not much more. Especially, since Russia will continue to trade with China and to a limited amount with Western countries such as Germany because Germany need Russia's natural gas.
