Keystone XL would probably finished and online today if the Japanese toilet didn't shut it down on his first day as usurper-in-chief. You can't re-gear up projects like that in the blink of an eye.
All the oil the comes off the pipeline goes to Japan. We do not see a drop of it here in the U.S.
I'm not really sure if that matters, Jim. It's oil that's off the market regardless. I'm not sure what grade it is, unless it's light-sweet crude, our refineries aren't really geared-up for anything else. I'm almost sure the shit coming out of Venezuela is heavy-sour, we're not geared up for that, for sure, not to mention we'd be dealing with Madurro[?], a shitbag. That's kind of why we ship shit to wherever and rely on the good stuff coming in. It's not a one-to-one swap, but the gains in efficiency are worth it. It's a helluva lot more efficient doing what we were doing with a sane President.
If we turn up one barrel short tomorrow, we've got a shortage. Every barrel short is going to cause the price to rise exponentially. $10/gal gas is closer, a lot closer, than you think. This is all about taking away mobility from the proles, while offering them "Green New Dark Ages" EVs that they will never be able to afford or charge if they're stupid enough to buy one.
