That was by design. I knew a lot before I graduated from high school that students today never heard of. American schools are a form of child abuse.

When I was in first grade the teacher said, "You're slow as molasses in January."

When I got that job with Illinois State Highways, I showed that I was not slow at all. Matter of fact, I gave them the best years of my life and my health on top of it. Too many back injuries. We made a fortune in winter time working nights and weekends, but the with holdings killed us. :-/
