That is less than 0.5% of our chicken flock. Might be germ warfare.
When we drove big trucks we picked up a load of fresh frozen chickens in Nebraska. We were bringing the load to AG Grocery Warehouse in Springfield.
I had this green kid with me. He was driving the load back. I got him to the point there was no way he could have made a mistake. I told him, "You go to the 4 way stop and turn left. Then you go across the rivet and take 29 south." I hit the sleeper.
I wake up and open sleeper curtain just in time to see sigh, KANSAS STATE LINE 4 MILES.
I said, "Stop this truck right now. How are you going to explain being in Kansas wh when you're not supposed to be there?"
I had to back us into a gravel road, turn us around and get us back to where we were supposed to be.
Then I had to route him around the scale north of KC since if they were checking logs it would have been heavy fines.
I told him to wake me up if he wasn't sure he was on the right road.
He woke me up and I could tell by the angle of the tractor he was on right road, so I told him keep going.
That was Hwy 7 over to U.S. 65 and then into Springfield.
That was the second turn he missed on that trip He missed one in Florida. I bet he is no longer driving trucks. ;)
