The Saudis were great customers of American arms. I knew a Bird Colonel in the Pentagon who was vying to be the world's leading arms merchant.

After the second attempt on the life of Gerald Ford, he retired to his farm in Virginia. I visited him there when I was driving trucks. He passed away over 10 years ago.
