During the Trump administration, the now-former president made sure that pipelines like Keystone XL were at their best and operational. This not only added 11,000 jobs to the American economy; it also played a major role in the United States being energy independent at the time. Unfortunately, with Biden in the White House, our nation is not energy independent. Biden made sure of that last year by not only rolling back the Keystone XL pipeline, but also by employing a series of punitive measures against the energy industry. Consequently, Americans are now paying for this in the form of costly gas fees. At the same time, the White House is denying that US pipelines are a solution to lowering the dollar amounts folks pay for gas, as covered by Twitchy. The White House on US Pipelines There has been bipartisan consensus that getting US pipelines up and running again is critical to lowering the costs of gas. This is why Republicans and Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin are urging for not only the restoration of Keystone XL pipeline, but also the completion of West Virginias Mountain Valley pipeline. However, the White House thinks this is all meaningless. While speaking to the media, Jen Psaki, the White House press secretary, declared pipelines arent an immediate solve for whats happening with higher gas rates. This is far from an outlier. Unfortunately, this administration has consistently been against the domestic generation of American energy. Instead, the Biden White Houses fidelity to its Green New Deal agenda is stronger than its willingness to do whats in the best interests of the American public. This has created frustration for a lot of Americans who are suffering financially as a result. What is the White Houses Favored Solution? Thus far, the resounding talking point from the White House is the notion that now presents a great time for a transition to electric vehicles. During a recent interview, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg claimed that people with lower incomes stand the most to gain from using electric vehicles; however, this took a lot of backlash, due to the expensive nature of electric vehicles.
