Zelenskyy appears to be taking a hard line on the Donbass region remaining part of Ukraine, and maybe Crimea also. Could be just pre- negotiation bluff, but if not, Russia will never agree to that. Cutting Ukraine in half would be beneficial given the very diverse public opinion on Russia vs the west.

Well, I would say that if he has that much loot stashed away, then he could have simply disappeared with it when the invasion started. It would be to his credit, to whatever extent, that he instead has stayed in Ukraine, risking death or capture. I suppose we don't know how close he's getting into the combat areas.
