I read something where this is a left wing site. So why aren't any of the lamestream carrying the story. I've looked through probably 20 mainstreamers and found nothing.

Until it is 'common' knowledge, I don't plan to get too excited.

Roger that.

I have a feeling that it's coming, though, along with swift presidential pardons after the elections. Since Bush cannot be shamed, he'll use his power like the Clintons did and pardon his buddies and other assorted swindlers, probably beyond our wildest expectations.

from Wayne Madsen:

May 13, 2006 -- Yesterday afternoon, WMR was staked out at the E. Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse in Washington awaiting any developments in the CIA leak case. A little after noon, a large motorcade consisting of black and one green SUV, several police cars and police motorcycles sped into the street behind the courthouse. Two SUVs split from the motorcade and quickly dashed into the underground parking garage. Several personal security officers were spotted on guard in the annex of the courthouse where the CIA leak case grand jury was meeting. Although there is no final confirmation that the motorcade was that of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, there is every indication that he spent approximately a little under 30 minutes in the courthouse.

Last October, Gonzales made a similar trip in an identical motorcade to the courthouse on a Friday to hear the decision of the grand jury investigating Vice President Dick Cheney's Chief of Staff I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby. The Attorney General's appearance at the grand jury is a formality and there is an opportunity for him to pose questions to the jury. After last October's visit to the grand jury, Gonzales informed the White House that Libby was to be indicted. One week later, Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald delivered a five count indictment against Libby.

It sounds to me like something very big happened, but that Rove is now scrambling like mad to cut a deal - and that Fitz is listening to him. That would explain the smoke we see and the fact that there has been no press conference yet. Maybe Rove will point the finger at Cheney in exchange for a suspended sentence.

Prosecutor: Cheney made handwritten references to Plame

A prosecutor says Cheney made notes on a newspaper column that Joseph Wilson wrote about the Iraq War. RELATED Gallery: Key players in the CIA leak probe

WASHINGTON (AP) -- In a new court filing, the prosecutor in the CIA leak case revealed that Vice President Dick Cheney made handwritten references to CIA officer Valerie Plame -- albeit not by name -- before her identity was publicly exposed.

Which shows they were not in ignorance about Wilson and his activities at that date.

Cheney notes new twist to CIA leak probe Pete Yost, Associated Press

Last update: May 14, 2006 – 10:50 AM

... A new court filing presents handwritten notes of Cheney. Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald is using them to assert that the vice president and Libby, working together, were focusing much attention on Plame and her husband, former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, a Bush administration critic.

Cheney's notes ask whether Plame had sent Wilson on a "junket'' to Africa. Subsequently, Plame's supposed role in her husband's trip to Africa allegedly was leaked to the media by both Libby and by presidential adviser Karl Rove.

Cheney's notes on the margins of Wilson's opinion column in The New York Times on July 6, 2003, reflect "the contemporaneous reaction of the vice president,'' Fitzgerald said in the court filing late Friday.

Wilson's column "is relevant to establishing some of the facts that were viewed as important by the defendant's immediate superior, including whether Mr. Wilson's wife had `sent him on a junket,'' the court papers say.

Cheney's notes "support the proposition that publication of the Wilson op-ed acutely focused the attention of the vice president and the defendant — his chief of staff — on Mr. Wilson, on the assertions made in his article, and on responding to those assertions,'' according to the filing. ....
