After I started working for Illinois State Highways, at the end of the day I was in The Brothers Tavern for a couple of beers after work.
Early afternoon news had a human-interest story. It was about this guy who had found his long-lost brother. The guy was one of the designers at the fag florist I used to do deliveries for as a young man a few years earlier.
I stood up on rungs of bar stool, pointed at the TV and shouted, "THAT GUY'S A FAGGOT!"
Everyone was asking, "How do you know?"
I said, "Because I worked with the guy. It was same shop, but we had different jobs." ;)
I've worked with a (very) few effeminate guys over the course of 40 years, I've learned to tell the difference between them and really hardcore pervs. It only took about 10 of those 40 years, it used to be called common sense.

My cousin used to make deliveries for one of the old-time florist shops in Chicago. They used to have a small greenhouse. His name was Daryl but his nick name was Butch. He got a hair transplant and I told him, "You can have some of my hair, but not off my head." He came after me. LOL
Some people are just screwed up. I'm fine with that. I get all pissy when I'm told I am going to have to believe their bullshit or face some sort of penalty.
Why doesn't my story about being a lottery winner carry just as much weight?

People don't believe that I won the PCH million-dollar prize either. But when the Prize Patrol shows up at my place with the big check, they will be eating crow. ;)
