Oreo Takes Pro-LGBT Stance In New Ad Spot

It’s not even June yet and already corporations are signaling their allegiance to the progressive LGBT agenda.

The latest seemingly unaffiliated brand to come out in support of the cause is none other than Oreo Cookie, which has been owned by the multinational food and beverage conglomerate Mondelez International since 2012.

The marketing team at Oreo couldn’t wait until “Pride Month” to put out a new commercial spot which featured a young man coming out as gay to his grandmother.

“Coming out doesn’t happen just once. It’s a journey that needs love and courage every step of the way. Share our new film and let someone know you’re their #LifelongAlly,” the ad’s introduction says.

I gave up Oreo cookies. How can I boycott them?

From Wikipedia:

Mondelez International, Inc. (/ÌmoŠndYÈliÐz/ MOHN-dY-LEEZ), often stylized as Mondelz, is an American multinational confectionery, food, holding and beverage and snack food company based in Chicago, Illinois. Mondelez has an annual revenue of about $26 billion and operates in approximately 160 countries. It ranked No. 108 in the 2021 Fortune 500 list of the largest United States corporations by total revenue.

The company has its origins as Kraft Foods Inc., which was founded in 1923 in Chicago. The present enterprise was established in 2012 when Kraft Foods was renamed Mondelez and retained its snack food business, while its grocery business was spun off to a new company called Kraft Foods Group. The name is derived from the Latin word mundus ("world") and delez, a fanciful modification of the word "delicious."

The Mondelez International company manufactures chocolate, cookies, biscuits, gum, confectionery, and powdered beverages. Mondelez International's portfolio includes several billion-dollar components. These components includes cookie and cracker brands Belvita, Chips Ahoy!, Oreo, Ritz, TUC, Triscuit, LU, Club Social, Sour Patch Kids, Barny, and Peek Freans; chocolate brands Milka, Côte d'Or, Toblerone, Cadbury, Green & Black's, Freia, Marabou, Fry's, and Lacta; gum and cough drop brands Trident, Dentyne, Chiclets, Halls, and Stride; as well as Tate's Bake Shop cookies and powdered beverage brand Tang.

I don't eat any of that crap so I can't boycott them. Thanks anyway.

You're welcome. You wanted us all to know that you don't eat Oreos, so I figured you would appreciate the opportunity to let us know that you also don't eat any of the products that its parent company sells.

I try to avoid anything that comes in a can or a box or wrapped in plastic. Though I still eat olives and cook with tomato soup, both of which are canned. I eat conventional grapes but all my other fruits and salads are organic. I want to live long enough to see the end of the world though I did not hasten it by voting for Bidet. I might live longer than 30 year-olds with two clot shots and a booster who loves to eat Glyphosate.

Sounds good. We're on about the same food path. No HFCS, no soybean oil (in almost all purchased bread products these days), no cottonseed oil, nor any hydrogenated oil. No artificial sweeteners. I avoid processed foods. And rarely eat at restaurants -- you can't trust what's in the food. (But the local Chinese buffet, now...)

Got rid of my last bottle of Roundup years ago; I'd rather live with weeds than die of cancer without them. My yard is ~60% weeds and only ~40% grass, but I won't put a herbicide on it -- the grandchildren play there.

Weeds grow on compacted soil. You need air in the soil for the soil biology to breathe. Add in some compost when you dig up the soil to aerate it.

Thanks; that's good info.

I mow about 3 acres of "grass" here in Upcountry South Carolina red clay. I have an aerator, but don't know where to get compost in large quantity (at acceptable cost). The compost we generate ourselves here is barely enough for our small garden.

I know there's a song for that but I can't think of it. Lady Antebellum is haunting me again.

The Bidet headache ain't helpin'.

Leaves from trees will do. Any animal manure that has not been fed anything sprayed with Grazon, glyphosate and any other pesticide.
