For two years, millions have expressed skepticism about the effectiveness of the draconian COVID-19 mitigation measures imposed by state and federal authorities, and the wisdom of those doubts were confirmed by Dr. Anthony Fauci, who admitted this week that he does not think were ever going to be able to determine if strict lockdowns were worthwhile, as Fox News reports.
Speaking to the BBCs Sunday Morning program, the White House chief medical adviser was asked whether lock down orders implemented during the height of the pandemic were worth it or perhaps even too severe.
Fauci began by attempting to justify the measures, saying, I think the restrictions if you want to use that word, which I tend to shy away from, lockdown they certainly prevented a lot of infections, prevented a lot of hospitalizations, and prevented a lot of deaths.
