Because: They did this exact same thing in the lead-up to Iraq (literally the exact same thing), and But still kudos to NBC. RT: US intelligence officials have leaked information about the Ukraine conflict that wasnt rock solid and outright made up some claims, all to win an info war against the Kremlin, according to an NBC News report on Wednesday. The officials admitted to, and boasted about, releasing this misinformation. When the American media cited US intelligence to warn that Russia was preparing to use chemical weapons in Ukraine, and when President Joe Biden repeated these warnings, they were participating in a disinformation campaign, the NBC report reveals. According to the intelligence officials who came up with the warning, the intention was to discourage Russia from actually using these weapons, even though they themselves rated the intelligence used low confidence. NBC quotes the officials involved in releasing such low confidence intelligence, who described their mission to misinform as part of an effort to undermine Moscows propaganda and prevent Russia from defining how the war is perceived in the world. Some releases were accurate. For instance, the Biden administration insisted for weeks that Russian President Vladimir Putin intended to launch an assault on Ukraine. More were fabricated: A report that Putin was being misled by his own advisers, as NBC put it, was made up. So was an assertion by US officials that Putin had turned to China for military aid. Despite being fabricated, the latter was released to discourage China from actually doing what the officials said it was doing sending arms to Russia, they said. One European official cited by NBC said that the report was a public game to prevent any military support from China. Theres no way you can prove or disprove that stuff, a retired intelligence operative told NBC regarding the claims that Putin was being misled by his own team. Prior to the outbreak of war, US media warned for weeks that Russia was laying the groundwork to attack Russian-speakers in the Donbass region and blame the attack on Ukrainian nationalists, thus generating a pretext for war. These reports cited Pentagon and State Department officials and unnamed intelligence sources, none of whom provided evidence to back up their claims. When pressed, State Department spokesman Ned Price said that those who doubted the claims were finding solace in the information the Russians are putting out. Now the NBC story reveals that the assertion was indeed cooked up by US spies. It doesnt have to be solid intelligence, one US official said. Its more important to get out ahead of [the Russians], Putin specifically, before they do something.
One of the authors of the NBC story is Ken Dilanian, a national security reporter shown in 2014 to have had a collaborative relationship with the CIA. He was disavowed by his then-employer, the Los Angeles Times, as the result. That Ned Price clip is still one of the best clips of the year. AP journalist Matt Lee responded to Prices claims that Putin was planning to use crisis actors in a gassing hoax as like something from Alex Jones. Its indicative of the entire nature of this current system they claim that their own claims are evidence of their claims, despite the fact they lie about everything. This is the same thing that happened with the coronavirus, right? Anthony Fauci cited claims by Anthony Fauci to support Faucis claims. It should probably be concerning that the intelligence community is using the same tactics they used in the run-up to the Iraq War against Russia. But despite the doom predictions, I dont really think these people are going to push for a hot war with Russia. All these people at the Pentagon are saying that there is no readiness. The Democrats/Intelligence Community/Deep State seem to act on Pentagon advisement in dealing with international conflict. It was the Pentagon who advised the Afghan pullout, saying that the Kabul government would stand for six months. That was obviously false, but the advice was taken seriously. So if the Pentagon is saying that a hot war with Russia is impossible, which is what they are saying, then it seems unlikely. The other thing is that there is no clear person who could make this decision. The State Department as far as we can tell is run by Jake Sullivan and Victoria Nuland, and their gaggle of neocons, but I dont think they have the authority to just say were going to war with Russia. I dont know who has that authority. Of course, when you have all of these intelligence operatives operating without any oversight, usually under the guise of PMCs (Private Military Contractors) or humanitarian aid groups, direct war with Russia could be easily instigated by a relatively small number of well-connected intelligence operatives. It could also just happen by accident. Given this, I dont rule it out completely, but I will say that it seems pretty unlikely. The Pentagon is also claiming that Russia is losing in the Ukraine, which the Democrats and State Department appear to believe. The Plan of Action? As Ive said a million times, there was never any plan to take Kiev. People have pointed to the fact that I said in the first hours of the war that Kiev might surrender, but at that point, it looked like Russia was going to just keep funneling troops into the country and overwhelm the military and force a surrender. Then the Russians would just have to clean up Kiev. But Russia never sent in that amount of troops, instead using this relatively small force to gradually wear down Ukrainian forces. The only people who have ever thought that there would be an assault on Kiev are the people at the Pentagon. Russias objectives, as stated: Demilitarize the country Force a neutrality agreement either through a military surrender or a total destruction of the military The Pentagon plan is to turn the Ukraine into some kind of Afghanistan, where the Russians are constantly attacked by the population. This is of course totally retarded. In Afghanistan, virtually every single male in the country was an anti-Soviet (and then anti-American) soldier, because a totally foreign power was invading them and trying to force a new system of living on them. The situation is very different in the Ukraine, where they were effectively a part of Russia up until 2014, and the normal people dont really care either way. Furthermore, the entire part of the country that Russia wants to annex is already pro-Russian, and those that are not pro-Russian are fleeing the area. If Russia is able to close off the East, then force the surrender of the remaining Ukrainian forces in the East, then the mission is basically over. If Zelensky continues to push the remaining UAF that is now gathered around Kiev to just keep fighting to take back the East, they will either say no, or just die trying to assault territory that is held by Russian forces. At some point, the Ukrainian government will have to negotiate. When the Pentagon figures out what is going on, then we will see what they do. I dont know what they will do.
