This Site is Only on Tor Now, Don’t Know for How Long

Jesus is still King of Heaven and everything below it – including the internet. Two different domains were stolen yesterday.

Basically, they really don’t want me talking about this Russia stuff at all. It’s a lot more extreme than just talking about Jews and black people, or women.

This could end up being a running issue. We are basically exhausted of options outside of doing something really weird. Any normal domain is going to be stolen in real time.

But, we will figure it out.

For those of you who can see this: I am going to keep writing on this Tor website.

http://stormer5v52vjsw66jmds7ndeecudq444woadhzr2plxlaayexnh6eqd.onion/ Please tell people to either use Brave Browser, or download the Tor Browser.

Also, just as a reminder – nothing on this site is copyrighted. So if you want to copy articles, or take screenshots, or whatever – please do.

Also, please remember this is expensive, and consider sending crypto.

They could just forgo a domain name altogether and have the site work with an IP address. It would look like http://11.22.33.44. That would bypass the entire ICANN system for controlling domain names. Domain names are basically only useful for people to remember what to type into their browser, and also makes the site portable in the event a new ISP is needed, which is quite rare.

How is a registered and paid-up domain name stolen? thanks.

Domain name registration is handled by one of many private registration services. Those services are tasked with reporting back to all inquiries about which servers (identified by IP address) are responsible and authorized to service the domain name with web services & email.

To steal or shut down a domain name, govs or whomever will go to the registration services that are doing that authorization and ask/tell/order them to change that to a different server. From then on, when you visit abcdefg.com, your PC requests info about that domain from the registration service, and it refers your PC to a different source controlled by the gov, which further directs your system to their web server which can put up a different page.

The original web page is still on the net, but no one can find it.

But if a PC instead goes directly to the IP address, it bypasses all that domain name lookup stuff and contacts the server that is tied to that specific address. That is controlled by the internet service provider that is being paid monthly or whatever to host the web site, and I don't think there's any way a gov could disable that without taking away a huge block of IP addresses that were allocated to the service. Not positive on that but I think that's the case. The hosting service itself could, of course, shut down the web site, but they aren't tied to the ICANN domain name service.

You can see an example by visiting 4um directly through it's IP address: http://172.105.20.86

Now this does bring up 4um but not before the 4um server itself redirects to the httpS://freedom4um.com (note the "s") which is the encrypted protocol side of the site. If I wanted to, I could have the numeric version show the site without redirecting or involving domain name services or encryption.

But back to your question, the gov or whomever would go to the registration service with whom it is registered and have them make changes to give them control. That's the simple answer.

One service sought to place domain name control on a blockchain making it impossible to steal domain names in this way, even from the service itself. Like with crypto ownership, only the person with the private key could make changes to the DNS. It would make domain name seizures impossible without the private key, which only the owner would possess. Or so the theory goes.

There are special servers called DNS (Domain Name Servers) that are authoritative for .com or .co or .AU or .CH or .edu or .org. They look up the IP address associated with that domain name. Donkeys gave away control of the Internet to the UN. So if the UN does not like you, you are screwed.

The Brave search engine did not get me to it. They are not a DNS server. If someone has a Tor Browser, please get us the IP address and post it in an article, so we don't have to go to TOR. I never used it. I hear it searches the Dark Web??

Tor, short for The Onion Router, is free and open-source software for enabling anonymous communication.[7] It directs Internet traffic through a free, worldwide, volunteer overlay network, consisting of more than six thousand relays,[8] for concealing a user's location and usage from anyone conducting network surveillance or traffic analysis.[9] Using Tor makes it more difficult to trace the Internet activity to the user. Tor's intended use is to protect the personal privacy of its users, as well as their freedom and ability to conduct confidential communication by keeping their Internet activities unmonitored.

I am able to access DS through Brave by using the address in the article and then clicking on the Tor icon that appears on the extreme right of the address.

So ICANN isn't the independent honest broker that it was pimped to be, evidently. Why am I not surprised?

Thanks for the explanation(s).

It's not something you search. It's something you visit. It worked fine in my brave browser. It did take a long time, bout 30 seconds or so, for brave to give the me the site but it did come up.

I tried but the domain address, if that's what it is properly called, does not show a supporting IP address (I use "dig" in linux for that).

Also notable is that the site is not encrypted, as seamless encryption only works with a domain name. At least at the present time. Maybe TOR can be reliably enhanced to support that in the future. No idea.

Is dig in Linux similar to Tracert in Windows? I want to migrate to Linux as soon as I get enough money to buy a new computer.

tracert rings a bell, but I don't remember much of it. Here's dig:

I simply put:

stormer5v52vjsw66jmds7ndeecudq444woadhzr2plxlaayexnh6eqd.onion

in the browser where the web addresses normally go, at the top. Just find where it says "https://freedom4um.com" and replace it with the above. The "https://" isn't visible until I double click on it, but that should be removed.

Apparently it works with http:// though (without the "s")

No you don't go to brave.com.

You use the brave browser. Maybe you don't have that browser installed? If not then get it. It's good as you don't get advertisements on YT.

I tried that on Firefox but failed. I will need Brave when I get to Linux.

Sling Blade put it on my computer. It's Windows 10, I think.

I cannot. I am near computer illiterate. I don't know how to post videos or graphics. If I really had to, I suppose I could find my own IP address but it would take a while :-).

I am still on Windows 7. This is a used PC. I also have a piss poor ISP. Can't change the latter until I move. I can't afford the monthly fee for Windows 10 or 11. If I get a new PC, I will consider Linux.

I can use it for searching without installing it. I prefer not to make changes to this old PC. I will wait until I get a new one and a new ISP.
