This Site is Only on Tor Now, Don’t Know for How Long

Jesus is still King of Heaven and everything below it – including the internet. Two different domains were stolen yesterday.

Basically, they really don’t want me talking about this Russia stuff at all. It’s a lot more extreme than just talking about Jews and black people, or women.

This could end up being a running issue. We are basically exhausted of options outside of doing something really weird. Any normal domain is going to be stolen in real time.

But, we will figure it out.

For those of you who can see this: I am going to keep writing on this Tor website.

http://stormer5v52vjsw66jmds7ndeecudq444woadhzr2plxlaayexnh6eqd.onion/ Please tell people to either use Brave Browser, or download the Tor Browser.

Also, just as a reminder – nothing on this site is copyrighted. So if you want to copy articles, or take screenshots, or whatever – please do.

Also, please remember this is expensive, and consider sending crypto.

They could just forgo a domain name altogether and have the site work with an IP address. It would look like http://11.22.33.44. That would bypass the entire ICANN system for controlling domain names. Domain names are basically only useful for people to remember what to type into their browser, and also makes the site portable in the event a new ISP is needed, which is quite rare.

Domain name registration is handled by one of many private registration services. Those services are tasked with reporting back to all inquiries about which servers (identified by IP address) are responsible and authorized to service the domain name with web services & email.

To steal or shut down a domain name, govs or whomever will go to the registration services that are doing that authorization and ask/tell/order them to change that to a different server. From then on, when you visit abcdefg.com, your PC requests info about that domain from the registration service, and it refers your PC to a different source controlled by the gov, which further directs your system to their web server which can put up a different page.

The original web page is still on the net, but no one can find it.

But if a PC instead goes directly to the IP address, it bypasses all that domain name lookup stuff and contacts the server that is tied to that specific address. That is controlled by the internet service provider that is being paid monthly or whatever to host the web site, and I don't think there's any way a gov could disable that without taking away a huge block of IP addresses that were allocated to the service. Not positive on that but I think that's the case. The hosting service itself could, of course, shut down the web site, but they aren't tied to the ICANN domain name service.

You can see an example by visiting 4um directly through it's IP address: http://172.105.20.86

Now this does bring up 4um but not before the 4um server itself redirects to the httpS://freedom4um.com (note the "s") which is the encrypted protocol side of the site. If I wanted to, I could have the numeric version show the site without redirecting or involving domain name services or encryption.

But back to your question, the gov or whomever would go to the registration service with whom it is registered and have them make changes to give them control. That's the simple answer.

One service sought to place domain name control on a blockchain making it impossible to steal domain names in this way, even from the service itself. Like with crypto ownership, only the person with the private key could make changes to the DNS. It would make domain name seizures impossible without the private key, which only the owner would possess. Or so the theory goes.

So ICANN isn't the independent honest broker that it was pimped to be, evidently. Why am I not surprised?

Thanks for the explanation(s).
