Yeah, I was actually wondering about that tact. He can't have more than 15%, but get a few partners in to help out and they can get a collective majority.

That seems to be the consensus. Musk should dump his shares and crash the company.

Maybe you should give Musk a call and see if you could sell 4um for a couple billion.

I saw that the old Liberty Post was for sale. I don't imagine you would be interested in restarting that dive.

I heard that Be A Chooser tried to post here on 4um. But he couldn't get away with what he had been getting away with on El Pee, so he left. ;)

All that would do is sink the stock prices temporarily. Certainly all the censorship, especially banning Trump who had enormous numbers of followers harms Twitter financially. If Musk gets hold of it and opens the door to political discussion, then Twitter value will go through the roof as even leftists will sign up more. Even they like bloody on- line fist fights.

If he can get some allies to buy up more shares of Twitter, then the good guys will have control over it. It's far too soon for Musk to giving up now on taking it over.

Libertypost.org is still running as a memorial site for Sally. I don't think it's for sale, though I'm not sure how much longer it will be desired. It may come down in the not too distant future.

More people would be a welcome thing here, though I certainly don't envy the thought of arbitrating mud fights.

And that's what Bozo is for, let the members decide who they want to read, or not. No need for moderating at all.

I have several on the Bozo filter. It serves its purpose well. ;)

I wasn't sure what "poison pill" meant, but I knew the headline was too good to be true.

No, they aren't committing suicide. At least not with this. Presumably Musk knows the corporate battle tactics reasonably well, and will counter some way, some how. The obvious is to get allies to buy up similar massive portions of Twitter. He doesn't even need a majority. If he has 30% say in company direction, he'd only need an allied vote of an additional >20% out of the remaining 70% to win.

It has everything to do with tactics. ;)

Let me know if I can help discourage the attention of any undesirable element. :)
