I'm not so sure that's a great idea. I'd hate to trim their claws. I've seen some foxes down by the Maumee River. Mostly in the hood it's groundhogs, squirrels, coons and feral cats. My sick, old groundhog finally waddled off to die somewhere. I didn't want to get out the "assault shovel" to dispatch it. Rabies is more dangerous than Covi.

US foxes can have rabies. Not so in England which is rabies free and fox hunting banned, so the critters are showing up in back yards and some people even keep them as pets.

Buck Owens and Roy Clark used to own a jackass that would say "He-He-He- Haw-Haw!"

THESE ARE ENTRIES TO A WASHINGTON POST COMPETITION ASKING FOR A RHYME WITH THE MOST ROMANTIC FIRST LINE BUT THE LEAST ROMANTIC SECOND LINE:

Love may be beautiful, love may be bliss But I only slept with you, because I was pissed.

I thought that I could love no other Until, that is, I met your brother.

Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet and so are you. But the roses are wilting, the violets are dead, the sugar bowl's empty and so is your head.

Of loving beauty you float with grace If only you could hide your face.

Kind, intelligent, loving and hot This describes everything you are not.

I want to feel your sweet embrace But don't take that paper bag off of your face.

I love your smile, your face, and your eyes Damn, I'm good at telling lies!

My darling, my lover, my beautiful wife: Marrying you screwed up my life.

I see your face when I am dreaming. That's why I always wake up screaming

My love, you take my breath away. What have you stepped in to smell this way?

My feelings for you no words can tell Except for maybe "Go To Hell".

What inspired this amorous rhyme? Two parts vodka, one part lime.

“ On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron. ” ~ H. L. Mencken

Wow, didn't realize you were from Ohio. I live in Maumee now.

What the hell kind of country is this where I can only hate a man if he's white?

Wow, didn't realize you were from Ohio.

I'm in Ft. Wayne where the Maumee starts at the confluence of the St. Mary's and St Joe rivers.

drug problem

The other day, someone at the co-op read that a methamphetamine lab had been found in an old farm house in the adjoining county and he asked me a question, "Why didn't we have a drug problem when you and I were growing up, Milo?"

I smiled when I answered him saying, "I DID have a drug problem when I was a kid growing up on the farm in southeast Kansas. I was drug to church on Sunday mornings and for weddings and funerals. I was drug to family reunions and community socials no matter the weather.

I was drug by my ears when I was disrespectful to adults and teachers. I was also drug to the 'woodshed' when I disobeyed my parents or if I had a 'smart-mouth.'

I was drug to my room to work on improving my homework and my attitude if I didn't put forth my best effort in everything that was asked of me.

I was drug outside on Saturday mornings to pull weeds in our garden and flower beds."

Those "drugs" are still in my veins; and they affect my behavior in everything I do, say, and think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack, or heroin, and if today's children had this kind of drug problem, America might be a better place today.

Good stuff!

I got drug to a Girl Scout camp when I was 7 years old.

It is too bad that I get treated like this where I work. I am not a dimwit or a prick like others I must work with. :-/

America might be a better place today.

I heard Border Inspectors caught two Mexican women with a small child trying to smuggle 50 ounces of Mexican Mud heroin into the country a few years ago.

Perhaps you recall that story. ;)

...you know, blacks, womens rights, I support all of that...
