My ex-wife's horses always kind of scared me. She'd drag me out to the stable on holidays to visit them. They liked me, it was kinda like they knew who was paying the bills, but they're big and an animal. The first time I was down in the France (something-or-other aggregates now) stone quarry, it scared the hell out of me approaching a moving dump truck that was so big that it had a staircase on it across the radiator. It was good training for being around some of the .mil equipment which is big and LOUD.
