Dr. Fauci is a strong supporter of mandating Americans take the coronavirus vaccine. And for the longest time, Dr. Fauci expected Blue states to go along with any COVID restriction the dictators in the public health bureaucracy dreamed up. That appeared to be the case last September when California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom survived a recall attempt by running on imposing vaccine mandates on private businesses and schools. Shortly after Newsom’s win, Joe Biden announced a tyrannical scheme to impose a vaccine mandate on employers with more than 100 employees. But now California and Newsom are in retreat, backing away from vaccine mandates on businesses and schools. POLITICO reports: California lawmakers were on the front lines of the vaccination wars long before the Covid-19 pandemic took hold. Democrats pushed through laws that closed off commonly used exemptions for shots required to attend school and cracked down on doctors who gave out questionable exemptions. Now, they are backing away. In recent weeks, lawmakers have shelved a proposed private employer mandate and a bill to eliminate personal belief exemptions at schools for Covid shots. Another contentious measure — to let children 12 and over get vaccinated without a parent’s consent — is yet to be scheduled for a hearing despite looming deadlines to advance bills this session. And Gov. Gavin Newsom, the first governor to announce a public school vaccine mandate, this month pushed back the much-hyped order to 2023, citing the slow-moving FDA approval process for younger children. There is no science that led Governor Newsom and other California Democrats to back down on their crusade to force Californians – including young children – to take the COVID vaccine. California Democrats’ retreat represented a tremendous win for freedom. The only variable that changed was polling data showing the American people are tired of restrictions and mandates and want to move on with their lives. That’s why even Democrats in California – who are as close to American Stalinists as they come – are ready to bail on Dr. Fauci’s dream of a permanent biomedical security state.
