National News See other National News Articles Title: Obama Uses Deaths Of Children And Teacher To Memorialize George Floyd Obama Uses Deaths Of Children And Teacher To Memorialize George Floyd As an act of pure political pandering, Former President Barack Obama took the opportunity to use this weeks’ school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, to memorialize the death of George Floyd. That he would use the deaths of 19 children and two heroic teachers to point citizens to his own political considerations is beyond wicked. The two incidents have nothing in common whatsoever. These were innocent children, Floyd was a thief, drug abuser and resisted arrest and he is dead today because of it. Police would not have had to subdue him otherwise. Obama would have you dismiss the horror of how these innocents died, robbing them of the dignity of their families grieving them, in favor of a man who at least lived long enough to make his own bad choices. Obama is nothing more than an opportunist with a former presidential credential. America does not need to be pressured into sympathizing and or memorializing George Floyd. His story and tragic death have been used to keep America sympathizing with the liberal lefts’ agenda for two years now. Like COVID 19, the Floyd story is just another means to be kept emotionally trapped by liberals, who wish nothing better than to keep everyone in turmoil while they seek to abolish America’s 2nd Amendment rights. Obama would have you think it’s all about the gun lobby, which is at the heart of these tragedies. How ridiculous, when in fact it’s all about controlling the American people. Obama and the Democrats want to focus on power-posturing over gun control. Texas is a border state, which has illegal immigrants flooding there in droves over the border and Biden (a hold-over from Obama) is allowing all manner of drug dealers, human traffickers and the like to freely move about there. With all the drugs, gangs, and cartels involved, Texas schools are like a sitting duck. You can stop good people from using wrong weapons, legislatively, but you can’t stop evil people or criminals from using weapons period. They have, and will continue to have, access to weapons. Restricting America’s citizenry only ties their hands to address criminals before circumstances like this school shooting happen. Guns don’t kill people – people kill people. Obama, Biden and their democratic emotionalist counterparts need to wake up! Our hearts should be with the families involved in the shooting in Uvalde, on the lives lost on May 25th and ignore Obama’s comments. He is quoted here to reveal the unthinking political posture he has taken by stating- “As we grieve the children of Uvalde today, we should take time to recognize that two years have passed since the murder of George Floyd under the knee of a police officer,” the former president tweeted. “His killing stays with us all to this day, especially those who loved him.” Adding “In the aftermath of his murder, a new generation of activists rose up to channel their anguish into organized action, launching a movement to raise awareness of systemic racism and the need for criminal justice and police reform”. – Former President Barack Obama Obama then shamelessly plugged the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance and its “Reimagining Policing Pledge”, also a very out of place comment. His decision to effectively tie the mass murder in Uvalde with Floyd’s death, has sparked significant backlash. Lastly, he added- “Michelle and I grieve with the families in Uvalde, who are experiencing pain no one should have to bear,” adding We’re also angry for them. Nearly ten years after Sandy Hook—and ten days after Buffalo— our country is paralyzed, not by fear, but by a gun lobby and a political party that have shown no willingness to act in any way that might help prevent these tragedies. It’s long past time for action, any kind of action. And it’s another tragedy—a quieter but no less tragic one—for families to wait another day.” -Former President Barack Obama Obama should be ashamed about his callous and unthinking comments – America does not need to be stirred by his fearmongering and finger- pointing.
