The United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence posts maps and intelligence reports daily on the war in Ukraine. In the photo, Russian President Vladimir Putin speaks at a conference in Moscow, Russia on May 16, 2022. Russian hopes of a quick and speedy win in Ukraine after President Vladimir Putin gave the go-ahead to invade the country were quickly dashed. Despite being militarily inferior on paper, Ukraine has held its own against Russian forces, putting up an intense resistance.

Russia has suffered a number of setbacks, including a reportedly high number of troop casualties. In the more than three months since Russia's initial invasion of Ukraine, the country has incurred as many troop deaths as the Soviet Union did during a nine-year period of fighting in Afghanistan, according to a report from a British intelligence agency.

Maps and intelligence reports posted to social media from the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence provide a detailed look at just how much Russian forces have lost in terms of controlled land in Ukraine.

In the early weeks of its invasion, Russian forces managed to secure a majority of the northeastern border between themselves and Ukraine and were advancing on Kyiv, launching attacks on Ukraine's capital city.

I heard Russia has suffered as many casualties in Ukraine as it did in eight years of occupation in Afghanistan. Why do you think casualty counts have been censored on Russian websites? ;)

Uh huh.

And Zelensky is actually on the front lines engaging in hand to hand combat.

You should try getting info from credible sources bro.

Pretty much anything coming from the MSM is pure fiction, thought you would have figured that out by now.

I just post 'em for comments.

However, I did read that Russian casualty counts have been removed from Russian websites by the Russian government. ;)

BTP, don't bother posting obvious crap. (Nothing personal as I do like you.)

Zelensky said this morning that the Ukraine had one last fortified position in the Donbas. AP said the Russians were attacking that last position. I posted that this morning.

Pepe Escobar said that Ukraine is losing 10 soldiers for every Russian. The next step is to take Odessa and Transnistria.

And now Putin has decided that men over 40 may serve in the military. Why have Russian losses been cleansed from the internet? ;)

Got proof?

As far as men over 40 though, many high ranking officers and NCOs in our own military are over 40.

Not all of them retire when they hit the 20 year mark. In fact officers enter active duty after graduating a 4 year college, so they'd be 22 upon being commissioned, thus 42 after 20 years of service.

A simple online search will reveal the truth. ;)

As I said though, many in our own military are over 40. And any speculation as to why Russia would extend the age limit is slanted on the side of the story teller.
